To promote the Colorado Lottery's Denver Broncos Scratch Game, Cactus created a spot that combines the feeling of winning big playing a Scratch game with the celebration style of winning big on the football field.

As part of the grand unveiling of Avalon Waterways newly designed ship The Avalon Panorama, Cactus created a toolkit targeted at both consumers and trade. Packaged in a branded keepsake tin, the kit contained a stunning print brochure and a USB drive that explores new fleet-wide amenities as well Avalon’s newest ship.

To promote the new Colorado Lottery Monopoly Scratch game, Cactus teamed up with the famed animation studio Laika/House and Fantastic Mr. Fox Director Mark Gustafson to create a stop-motion spot where the iconic Monopoly game pieces come to life and work together to get to the new Colorado Lottery Monopoly Scratch ticket that someone left on the counter.

Cactus has been selected in the prestigious AIGA 365/31 Design Competition for their Denver Center Theatre Company 2009-10 Season Poster Series. The AIGA Annual 365 is widely recognized as one of the most discerning chronicles of design excellence in the world.

Cactus staffers Meagan Schreiber, Matt Chiabotti and Ryan Johnson spent last Saturday running the Warrior Dash at Copper Mountain Resort. The 5K race course featured a grueling hill climb, car hurdle, barbed-wire mud pit, fire leaping, rope climbs and other absurd obstacles. The final feat of strength involved drinking a cold beer in the Colorado sun.

As constant explorers of new ideas, we are easily drawn in by flashy things. Social Media is a vast untamed frontier where seemingly anything is possible. Location based services, augmented reality, the leading edge of marketing today is yesterday's science fiction. But can it make money?

This didn't really come from Apple, but it does illustrate the point. For those of you who don't recognize the icon, it is what displays on an iPhone, iPod touch, iPad or other mobile device when it encounters a flash element. So we have no idea what it represents. Is it a heart or something a little less friendly?
