ADOBE FIRES BACK AT APPLE... WITH LOVE

In the battle between over the future of flash, Adobe fired back at Apple with an unusual tactic: a traditional print ad running in the Wall Street Journal as well as a number of other pubs,  proclaiming that they love Apple. This is not, however, a let's kiss and make up ad. No sir.

The ad goes on to tout other things that Adobe loves, and ends with the line "What we don't love is anybody taking away your freedom to choose what you create, how you create it, and what you experience on the web."

With a companion site dedicated to choice and openness on the web, Adobe is echoing the sentiment of thousands of flash-ophiles around the world. Ever since Steve Jobs fired a shot across Adobe's bow, the twitter-facebook-blogospehre has been abuzz with posts supporting both sides of the issue. Mega tech giants like Microsoft and Google have also weighed in on the issue (surprisingly on Apple's side).

What is unusual is that Adobe opted for the most traditional media outlet to make their case for flash, moving outside of the din, and arguably attracting more attention than they could have anywhere online.
