CACTUS SEEKING SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN
Do you check your Facebook before getting out of bed in the morning? Are you a mayor on Foursquare? Do you know your Klout within a point or two without looking? Then you might be just the person we are looking for.
Position Summary:
The social media intern will play an active role in the monitoring, evaluation, execution and strategic planning of social media efforts for both Cactus and agency clients. S/he will work closely with all the departments at Cactus to develop integrated strategy and earned media tactics including PR, digital, mobile, blogs, forums and all social media platforms. The social media intern will have the opportunity to actively participate in the creation of a social media campaign from start to finish, gaining exposure to all agency roles and processes.
Responsibilities:
Research into the latest trends in digital and social media, update agency blog and social media profiles, monitor, evaluate and assist in the analysis of integrated campaigns, social media audits, development of social media tactics and strategy for local, regional and national clients, and a variety of other projects as assigned. Some responsibilities are flexible and can be revised based on intern interest in specific areas of study or career goals.
Requirements:
This internship is designed for college juniors and seniors. Our internships are unpaid and potential candidates can receive academic course credit from their college/university for program completion. We ask for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Cactus is proud to have a history of hiring interns into full time positions. Education: College junior, senior or recent grad, some related experience, coursework or club involvement.
