JACKSON HOLE NAMES CACTUS AGENCY OF RECORD
After a three-month review, the Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board has named Cactus as its first-ever advertising agency of record. A $1.2 million budget will support print, digital, social, outdoor and radio advertising, and public relations, with first work breaking this winter.
The assignment marks the Jackson Hole area's, as opposed to its individual destinations', first combined advertising effort in at least ten years. The work will focus on winter and shoulder season (spring and fall) tourism. Jackson Hole's peak tourist season is summer.
Selection was based on a presentation of strategic approach and spec creative. Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Joint Power Board chair Stephen Price states, "As a tax-funded public entity, we need to justify our expenditures with demonstrable results. Besides their winter resort experience, Cactus has the proven in-house resources - social media, media planning and buying, account planning - to make sure that their work is not just creative, but creative and accountable."
Cactus founder and ceo Joe Conrad adds, "It's pretty exciting to have Cactus' first entry into Wyoming tourism, a category we've long known we'd be good for, come via the iconic Jackson Hole. As a place, it is jaw-dropping amazing. And as an account, it's pretty inspiring to be working on such an iconic brand, with the added benefit of starting from scratch. This Board is a brand-new entity, and they are looking for fresh solutions and measurable results."
